Sitting and observing my garden today, I noticed one of the many lessons and gifts that nature offers. There is a steady, pacing and timing of blooming… not every bud opens at once, but instead they each take their turn.
There are many gifts in this rhythm of blooming.
As each bud takes a turn opening, each bloom has their chance to shine and be admired before it starts to wither and the next bloom opens to its fullness.

There might even be many blooms open fully at the same time, but when this happens there are also many buds awaiting their opportunity to blossom, extending the beauty of the plant to extend the flowering season!
Seeing some of the blooms at the end of their blooming feels a little less sad, when I can also see the the buds that will soon be opening.
These cycles and natural rhythms reflect reminders of the gift of life, with endings come new beginnings… and we can’t bloom in all areas at once, nor do everything at once. Instead, when we really enjoy the fullness of a moment, an opportunity or the beauty of an experience… as that one fades, we can be ready for the next!
